The Analox website has an Aspida product page with all relevant product information and software downloads available.

The process for confidence testing the Aspida units is similar to the calibration process as described in the product user manual.

The procedure below is similar to testing carried out by Analox when validating the devices are operating within specification:

  1. Connect the supplied flow adaptor to the device (PGA-401DK)
    or
  2. Connect the free end of the flow adaptor hose to a flow regulator (SA7L705XFLIND)
  3. Fit the flow regulator to a cylinder of 20.9% O2 (In N2) (SA7L11009)
  4. Set the flow rate to 0.2lpm
  5. Leave to settle for 3 - 5 minutes
  6. Carry out a calibration of the unit as described in the product user manual
  7. Ensure the oxygen reading is within ±0.75% of 20.9% O2
  8. Change the gas cylinder to a 100% N2 cylinder (SA7L10308)
  9. Set the flow rate to 0.2lpm
  10. Leave to settle for 3 - 5 minutes
  11. Verify that the O2 reading begins to fall and at about 19.5% the following activate: (Red LEDs, Sounder, Vibration motor (stops vibrating after 10 seconds), O2 reading shows a flashing outline and flashing 0oMc--3rmHeGynOrU4SIor5-MB7pjDy--Q.png symbol
Note. 19.5% is a default O2 alarm level, this may vary if your device settings have been changed
  12. Verify that at 18% O2, the LEDs and sounder begin to pulse faster
Note. 18% is a default O2 alarm level, this may vary if your device settings have been changed
  13. Press the GoMeVT5-y6OseRAO-MdQmUmLBohk0GRdBw.pngbutton to mute the alarm
  14. Note the O2 reading is correct to ±0.75% of 0% O2
