The calibration of the SDA O2 is a simple, straight-forward procedure, the steps are as follows:
- Apply power to the SDA
- The intended application will determine the zero and span gas values required. Refer to the SDA User Manual for guidance.
- Ensure the SDA is in normal operation mode prior to starting calibration.
- Expose the sensor to an appropriate zero gas.
- Mute the alarm as necessary (pressing the red 'Mute' button).
- Allow the sensor to settle for a period of time so the readings stabilise.
- Update the low calibration gas value to reflect the zero gas used.
- Press the calibration toggle downwards and rotate the adjustment knob until the O2 content is correct to the zero gas
- To abort the procedure, press the red 'Mute' button or simply release the calibration toggle.
- To carry out the low calibration adjustment, press the black 'Set' button.
- The 'Calibration OK' and green tick icon will indicate a successful calibration.
- Press the red 'Mute' button to clear this message.
- The display will return to normal operation mode.
- Apply a span gas to the SDA sensor.
- Allow the sensor to settle for a period of time so the readings can stabilise.
- Update the high calibration gas value to reflect the span gas used.
- Lift the calibration toggle switch upwards and rotate the adjustment knob until the O2 content is correct to the span gas.
- To abort the procedure, press the red 'Mute' button or simply release the calibration toggle.
- To carry out the high calibration adjustment, press the black 'Set' button.
- The 'Calibration OK' and green tick icon will indicate a successful calibration.
- Press the red 'Mute' button to clear this message.
- The display will return to normal operation mode.
- Congratulations on successfully completing a full calibration adjustment of your SDA device.
